I'm cooking for a party I put in the school's auction fundraiser last spring. Billed it as the" Hank William's Special"....Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie and File Gumbo for 20 or so. Cooking about 16 qts of seafood gumbo, a no. 12 pot full of chicken and and andouille jambalaya and 4 crawfish pies, plus an app or two. Wife's throwing in some bread pudding for dessert...gonna eat fine while the Tiger's toast up some gump azz.

Brother works offshore and brought back a ton of shrimp this week. Bacon wrapped shrimp before the game, boiled shrimp during the game and shrimp stew afterward.

It's bubba gump day.

Isn't that considered "suspicious activity" and maybe highly illegal in your part of the country?

days like this are always a little anxious, hoping the neighbors don't smell anything "suspicious"; it helps if we hang a texas flag up on the front of the house to throw them off....

I am making a big pot of chili today, with all the good toppings...jalapenos, sour cream, cheese. And a skillet of cornbread to go with it !
