This is not only for the talking heads on ESPN, but also you nare-do-well negatigers.

Someone give me hard numbers so I can let "The Hat" know what he must do to get some respect.

Most reporters rank effing Charlie Weiss above Les Miles. WTF?

Its all about public perception of football intelligence.

Weiss won super bowls working under Belichik

according to whom?

i'd say a strong majority on this will never say he's a good coach. there's also certain loud mouths on this board who will certainly never say he's a good coach.

i'd just let his record do the talking.

Case is closed ... Miles is a good coach. there's absolutely no argument on the flip side.

The argument should be over whether or not Miles is a "great" coach ... that's the only thing up for debate.

Anyone that says Les Miles isn't a good coach is just an idiot looking for attention.

Les is good. I love his gambling attitude. I think the issue with a lot of people is that we aren't similar to florida, bama, and USC in the way they put games away early.. but these aren't exactly the most conservative. Miles loves running the ball, more than passing, I'm sure.. and that's fine with me..as long as it gets touchdowns and the W.

He's not the flashiest, but he does what it takes to get the job done.

The only reason I would rank Charlie better than Miles is a sign on GameDay that said in big block lettering "DID CHARLIE WEIS EAT ANOTHER RECRUIT?".

Let's see him go 4-1 in his next five games and I will jump on board.

10 MNCs, go to the NFL, win 5 Super Bowls, retire and open a franchise of sports bars called "The Hat", die at the ripe old age of 120 after flipping his 'vette on the autobahn

i think most of the people on this board who don't like Miles can't get Saban's dick out of their mouths.

Play well consistently, no matter whether we win or loose.

Have most in the fan base feel that we are getting the max out of the talent, versus low-middle, as most feel now.

It is not as simple as pointing to W's and L's, it is HOW we play and how the program looks as a result of that. He sure has kept the recruiting at top level.

Show good situational awareness during the game.

Time will tell. Saturday night should provide the most meaningful insight yet.

At this timeframe - No one can point to Matt Flynn, Jacob Hester or Glen Dorsey and say they provided strong leadership and gut.

They will have to point to Miles' stars, and then admit that he was responsible for getting them on campus and forging them into their best as football players and leaders.

Geaux Big Les and Geaux Tigers!!!

les miles has more bowl wins than "big game" bob stoops, the same amount of national championships and more BCS wins.

how is he NOT a good coach?

Les is a good coach. People are still judging him from the way we played last season. I do find myself being somewhat critical of the the offensive play calling but other than that Les is the man

Since you are a posigaytiger then you must know the answer already.

Methinks you are just flaming the board to make yourself feel better.

If Les would take a public speaking class and be a little less hardheaded, his ratings would go way up even with the same record.
