Worst Fans in The SEC.... Has to be Florida

Me and friends have been numerous times and never been treated so bad. I thought i just had a bad experience but they are just mean spirited people. I've heard this from so many different people that say the same thing. What's you're take?

i've been multiple times
they were perhaps even more arrogant before their 2nd NC...its nearly impossible to talk football with them
their women are mediocre
and the bowels of their fanbase, specifically those who arent even smart enough to know how to mail an application to UF, are perhaps the most disgusting, ignorant, and violent people i have ever come across

worst road trip i've been on by far. Auburn, Alabama, and now Georgia all had great fans

Your not the only....I despise UF fans more than any other fanbase...Not to mention Gainesville is one shitty city IMO

I have had pretty good experiences. I wear P&G all t he time and they are pretty good sports with appropriate behavior. Have the occasional Gator-tard, but all teams have their share. They are ARROGANT, but not any worse than any other fan base. And after last year's beat down, can't say much back at'em.

Had a great time and met some great fans both times I went there. Guess I got lucky.

I went to high school in Orlando back pre-Spurrier (1980's) - and the kids in my school who were Gator fans were all complete arrogant a-holes. My friends were all FSU and Miami fans.
Gainesville still ranks as the worst road trip I've ever taken - even worse than UGA in 2004. I NEVER pull for that school in any sport.

I like good natured trash talk but UF people get out of hand. There was a near riot at the Varsity a few years ago 100% on the UF fans. They were acting like animals and it wasn't in a fun way.
I hope this year is better.

I had to punch a student leaving the stadium last year for yelling in my girlfriends ear. They are absolutely the worst fanbase I have seen. I've been to Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, War Memorial, and Alabama. Florida is the worst IMO by far.

i tailgate next to parking lot of visiting fans that come on buses. All have been nice and have stopped by our tent to taste our food and etc. Florida fans on the other hand seemed a little snotty or too good to mingle with us. So frickem

I made the trip to Gainesville in '96 and I will never go back. They were spitting at us from the balconies of the bars across the street. Even their older fans are insanely obnoxious. The elderly couple that sat behind us in '07 were snooty, rude, and completely ignorant. Before the game, I told them to let me know if I was blocking their view and I would sit down during plays so they could see. The woman says, "will you really?", as if I was lying to her. Pathetic.

I went to Gainsville in 06 with some of my buddies from college (about 8 of us - 3 UF fans, 5 LSU fans) and our UF friends were embarrassed at the treatment we received. The tailgating was cordial but as we were walking to the stadium, the dude wearing a wife-beater, silver chain and stark white sneakers comes up to us and says "We're about to beat you just like Katrina did." One of my UF buddies got in his face and told him to F off. Later at the Swamp (local bar) a bunch of UF fans kept chanting "FEMA" all night at us. Never been treated worse at any other venue. There are some good UF fans...just have to look harder for them imo.

Was anyone at the varsity last time those fricks were in town? First off, whoever the sellout fig fricking pussy was who let them rent out the top floor of the varsity should be shot. All game we were behind and we had to hear them mouth off the whole time. Thank god ( Allah or whoever everyone prays to) that we won. They finally shut the frick up. Fights wouldve starting popping up if we lost that one.

you will never get treated worse than any other place than Gainesville. I would almost compare it to going to a Philadelphia Eagles game. They will get in your face and try to start fights. Some guy made that mistake for the 2002 Florida game.

I went to Gainesville a few years ago (2006) and I vowed I would absolutely never return.
I generally don't paint one fanbase with one broad brush stroke, but with UF I do, absolutely disgusting, mean-spirited, and repugnant as a whole.
I'm sure there are some exceptions, but that day I didn't come across any.

I have a feeling if this questions was posed to the other 11 SEC schools, LSU would be in the top 2 of every single one of them.
