I'm sure this is German's, but sue me. Check this out:

SportingNews.com senior writer Matt Hayes pegged LSU as one of the two most overrated teams in the current polls (Southern California is the other). Hayes wrote, the “Tigers have the ugliest 4-0 record for a top five team in decades.”

Is this a rhetorical question?

Now, I will wait for you to quote Stewart Mandel......

its the truth. I see a common trend with the media and I actually agree with them.

To be honest I think it is more telling of how crazy the season has been that even though everybody thinks we are overrated that you really can't justify putting anyone else at #4.

He's correct, but those games are behind us. We have the ability to make major improvements and start clicking.

Well, they've gone against two of the wekest teams in the SEC, a PAC-10 team that got drilled this weekend, and a team that got shutout to the tune of 55-0 to a slightly above avg Neb. team. How can you not agree with them. If anything, LSU is ranked too high at 15. I have a feeling pollsters will show no mercy after the UGA game and LSU will have a drop similar to Ole Miss.

Perhaps this is a gross oversimplification, but it really doesn't matter if the pollsters - or anybody else - thinks LSU is overrated right now. LSU will play and win or lose the remaining games on their schedule and be ranked in the final polls based on this outcome.

I will say i agree, we are overrated. But thats the problem with early season and pre-season polls. They first poll should come out until first week in October. Also, I'm starting to think that no one will go undefeated this year.

I think most people would agree #4 is ridiculous for LSU at this point given the performance so far. Why would the pollsters continue to rank us there if they feel (as many fans do also) that we aren't a top ten team?

Boise State is going to bullshite their way into a NC game, only to get blown out by Texas, Florida, etc.

I look at the polls and think the same thing. We are as legit of a #4 as anybody, presuming that you wouldn't put a one-loss or non-BCS conference team ahead of us.

Iowa, Michigan, Auburn?

Auburn isn't even ranked - that's crazy.
