Are my B&G glasses getting foggy?

Same high powered Offense

Many personnel improvements on the Defense, which should improve defensive play.

Improved run game and SP's willingness to call a balanced run/pass gameplan...

Last year we had losses of:
24-29
32-34
27-30
20-23
24-27
31-33

2 by 2 points & 3 by 3 points

This year we can get that extra turnover a game, give up a field goal less or even better a touchdown less a game. And more importantly get the crucial 3rd & shorts late in a game to keep the drive alive and run the clock out. If we could have gotten the lucky bounce in half of those games last year, we were talking 11-5 winning the division.

But that's last year. We need the minor improvements on defense and special teams to really make this a serious team and we have the tools to do it.

For the most part the media is staying away from us because of the uncertainties, which is understandable. But most of the country isn't aware of the changes made on the defensive side because they don't follow the Saints like we do.

Is this team ready to make that playoff push and hardly anyone even knows it yet???

I think we have a good enough defense to make up for the 3 points. I just hope the schedule isn't too rough.

Everyone knows it they're just cautious after 2 years of tease and burn. Brees is finally starting to get media respect as a top 3 QB so they'll be quick to jump on the bandwagon if we're 6-2 or better at the halfway point.

Even in some of these games where the D played horrible we were that close. We have a much better D AND I think we get the 3rd and short more times this year.

Playoffs book it

You forgot to mention we have a fully healthy Colston and Shockey back 100%

There is good reason to be hopeful of the team this year. We will see how we play in big games this weekend

Woah! You might want to wait til they solve their problems which they have. As one who is totally neutral, I graded the saints week one as a complete and total failure

Let's see what week 2 brings.

I have never wanted a Saints Superbowl more than I do now simply because I believe this year is our best chance.

Its way to early. I'm not used to this talk being a Saints fan. I don't like it. I don't like the talking heads on our banwagon either, NOT AT ALL.

Here's my concern as it is year after year with the Saints
