I honor of the show resurfacing with all new acts, which ones did you like thes best? I think VH1 forgot who it was and startd the Real Chance of Love, I Love NY, and Rock of Love to be MTV. I really enjoyed VH1 shows like this one and the show where they tried to reunite bands after many years. Oh well. Here are mineL

1. Motley Crue - So good and funny, at the time, that I ended up buying it online.

2. RHCP - A very moving episode.

3. Def Leppard

4. Leif Garret

5. Guns N Roses

I literally just made those up off the top of my head. They actually did one on Moby?

I would definitely watch this

RHCP

After reading Anthony Kiedis' biography, I can see this being very interesting with other band members giving their views of their pasts.

Yep.

The Crue just happened to be a bunch of loser kids who made a band via ultimate fate. Their stories were sad at times, but overall they had more ups than downs.

RHCP was a much more closely-knit 4some who went through the same sorts of downs as Motley. In the end, howeverm they all supported each other and went through REAL heartache.

Since you obviously enjoyed that behind the scenes, I feel like I have to highly recommend his book Scar Tissue

there seems to be a theme with most of these, it kinda goes

work arse off practicing ---> Big break ---> blow your mind with drugs and partying---> rehab and break up ---> die or sober up ---> reunion set for x

I think your list is the exact one I would come up with. Oddly enough, I had never even heard of Leif Garret before I saw this show.

Jim Croce

My friends and I have a special place in our hearts for this episode.

First off, Jim Croce was awesome.

But there is some really awesome unintentional humor in the episode.

1. There is the fat guy with a thick north Louisiana redneck accent that says, "He couldn't have been dead....I just put him on the plane 5 minutes ago." The delivery is classic.

2. Arlo Guthrie. Back in high school we all had this strange obsession with Arlo. In fact, we all met him and his family after a show one night. He's a really cool guy and we all really enjoy his music. Anyway, at one point in the episode during an interview he says, "It's like....what?" And the way he delivers it is so fricking funny.

I know that this stuff probably isn't as funny to others as it is to my group of friends, but quoting those lines has been an inside joke for us for over 10 years.

Toss between Blind Melon and Sublime.

I cried for both. Especially when they said how Lou Dog wouldnt leave Brad's side when they found him in the motel room.

I'll 2nd Pantera. I mean Dimebag Darrel was murdered on stage. It doesn't get any heavier than that.
