We got the same email, have you found anything else about this? I'm guessing it's a scam.

You are guessing this is a scam? OMG Yes it is a scam. Come on people this is common sense you are talking about. Would you really consider buying from someone out of the country for something like this?

had a person email me selling an Alabama Student ticket, but didn't know section or row. have to wait until Gameday until they can physically pick up the ticket.

If he doesn't want to exchange cash for ticket on game day would any of you worry about dealing with it?

What is this guy's screen name? If he did it once then he'll try again. The admins can look at IP addresses so if he comes back under a different screen name but posts from the same computer, they can catch him before he scams again.

I've heard it easy to get around using the same ip address. Don't know for sure though

Saw where one poster guesstimated a scammer's possible income at $30K. Consider that like most ticket "brokers", scammers are doing this for all college & professional games, concerts, etc, not just LSU games by any means. A good friend is a legitmate broker & he works his arse off & makes $50K+. So, using a mass mail scam, the money goes thru the roof.

Post dating a check won't do you any good. The banks don't care what date is on it. They don't hold checks waiting for that future date in your check to roll around.

not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread, but I keep getting emails asking me to call or text some number in response to my ticket post, are people phishing for phone numbers or something on here to?

Before I had a smart smartphone, I would ask that people respond to me by text as I'm not ALWAYS at the computer.

Haven't heard of (or had) any problems with people texting.

Stubhub - DOES NOT Guarantee the tickets, just the transaction.

If you tickets don't work, you still don't get in, Stubhib, will refund the money after the fact

Do not bother buying tickets from lionelsam33@yahoo.com. We made a deal for tickets, for days he made excuses about why he could not get me the tickets, then tells me a week later that he just sold the tickets for a higher price. I do not know his username, but just beware of this email. Dealing with him is not worth the trouble.
