They haven't, or at least if they have, they haven't told me. And I have no clue if I will get my money back at arrest, or if I will have to go to small claims court. But it sounded as if she scammed multiple people, charges would increase.

Tell your friend to email me at Indfanfromcol@yahoo.com and I will give him the name and number of the officer who helped me, and that goes also for anyone else who thinks they were also scammed by this same person.

Sometimes the last minute "great deal cheap ticket", is not what it appears to be. Sorry for all those that fall for it but you really have to use your head and all the common sense you can muster, when playing the "I'll wait till the last second to buy " roulette game.
One should gather as much info/documentation as possible before purchasing....seldom, do I purchase last minute but when I do, I'll at least get Dr. Lic. info !

Mine wasn't last minute, it was a month in advance, right after the State game.
I have never been scammed before, even when purchasing "last minute".

Thankfully, the police have it under control, and she will lose much more money than she gained off me or anyone else she scammed.

That is what I have been told as well.

What section were the bad tickets she sold you?

Exact same tickets as your friend I believe.
section 241, 2 in row 19, and 2 in row 17.

And I am not sure if she is the season ticket holder, but the tickets were purchased through the ticket office.

No. These were in a different section. A pair in 213.

Yours are still on Craigslist though.

LINK

That was likely who sold them on StubHub.

Actually, that craigslist post isn't the one I replied too.
I replied to one about a month before that. Wish I would have paid closer attention to craigslist though.

Why would anyone do this in the first place? That has "I'm going to take your money and screw you" written all over it.

Need some advice. I'm looking to buy some tickets for a game this season. The seller is insisting on a deposit with PayPal to show good faith and serious interest. I'm uneasy about this for many reason. However he has emailed a plethora of personal background information, his name, and several references to verify his identity. Any advice would be appreciated.

PayPal

I've never had any issues with people who use Paypal. If you do get scammed or don't get the product, just be sure to keep the transaction records. It's happened to me a few times, but since it was done over paypal I've gotten my money back.

I would like to mention that Denham Springs has a Safe Transaction Zone in the parking lot of the police department. I think Baton Rouge set up a similar site. The DS location has video survellience. It's open for anyone to use for transactions such as these. I realize it can't always be done in person, but wanted to put it out there in case it would help anyone.

I had similar situation . A guy posted tickets and listed the section and row that 2 tickets were in . I emailed him about the cost . He emailed me back saying he was asking face value. I agreed and told him to contact me. He called me a couple of times and I missed the call which was from a landline, which ended up being a place of business. When he called me back he told me he would send me a link so I could send him my pay pal info to pay and then he would then send request to LSU for me to print tickets electronically which immediately threw up a red flag. I then asked him the seat #'s since I have 4 season tickets in the same section and he told me then he did not give that info out........SCAM !
Moral of this story ....... face to face always !!!!!!!!!

Had mine picked off the front door FedEx. Fed Ex shows delivered, but eh, no tix. Parking arrived today, but no tix. Have to switch to electronic delivery I guess, or do they reissue them in bound form? I liked having the actual book of tickets.

Section 216, row 14, seats 32 & 33 in case anyone runs across them.

Coincidentially, the four seats two rows directly above me are for sale along with parking passes on Craiglist.
