It's official...

No 1. LSU vs. No. 2 Texas for the 2009 NCAA Baseball national championship series...

Pitching matchups still unknown, but Coleman in game one is a lock.

it's gonna be a heck of a National Championship series

both teams timely hit, and hit for power. Both teams have stud pitchers, including 2 great closers in Austin Wood and Matty Ott. Two purely talented left side infielders on opposite sides also in Michael Torres and Austin Nola.

should be a heck of a series.

I can't see Texas scoring many runs in this series. The key is to get their leadoff hitter each inning and take away that small ball crap they play. Once you have that initial out they're not so willing to swap the second out for 90 feet.

LSU in two: 7-1 and 9-2

Not big on college baseball until last yr, I am more of an MLB guy. So I want to know if the 3 game series helps, hurts, or doesn't mean anything to the outcome of series?

There is no such thing as a "lock" in baseball.

Tiger pitching + Tiger defense + Gorilla ball = LSU's 6th CWS championship. The Tigers in 2 decisive wins.

Who can pitch game 2? Ross looks terrible at the CWS. Ott did not have a goog day either. We will win in two with AR on Wednesday. However, if Coleman loses texas wins in two.
