I want to take my son to a MLB game but can't really decide on Houston or Atlanta. I've never been to one either so not really sure what to expect. If you've been to either one of these tell me how it went. THanks

Well, there's no chance of a rain-out in Houston.

Houston if its closer. Nice place to watch baseball. Affordable too, except the beer prices.

Houston is closer for sure, based on your location in your info. I've never been to the new park out there so I can't say for sure.

How old is your son? The Ted has a lot of things geared around kids and entertaining them, so if he is younger and you think he might get bored with 9 innings of ball, that is something to consider.

Houston has a roof, and the park itself is great for entertaining kids. There is lots of other stuff to do besides the game if he gets itchy. Braves are probably a better team, but I doubt the kid cares.

He won't care about the teams, I've always kinda been impartial to Houston, but he just loves the atmosphere and such. He loves football games even at the high school level, just thought it'd be nice to get him to a major leauge bball park, thanks for all the help guys

Tough call they are pretty much 32a and 32b

ETA: If you do take him to Houston, there will be a pretty good chance he will be the most knowledgeable baseball fan in the building.

Houston. Minute Made is very fan friendly. While Turner field is nice, it's very ordinary.

Houston has fairly cheap seats.

May be a good chance in Houston, but it's a guarantee in Atlanta.

That is a huge negative imho. Don't let your son's 1st baseball game be indoors. And at a stadium with a fricking putt putt 18th hole out in center field.

You put 2 minor league teams ahead of them? You must really not like either one

I'd take him to Houston. More of an atmosphere and better ball park.. They have a cool train and stuff to see I believe.. and I'm a huge Braves fan.
