I am pretty sure that's the year it rained during the game. My friends and I sat there soaking wet, getting wasted, and talking to some visiting recruits. What a beating that was.

Yeah, the dark ages. I remember (barely) drinking unhealthy amounts of liquor in the student section in the early 90s. Every now and then we'd check the action on the field if it was still close.

My last year there we finally got to a bowl - Poulan Weed Eater Independance
My friends and I were one of the first to storm the field after we beat MSU. One of my pals got stopped by a guard, but when he saw all the humanity behind him, he let him go.

Amazing to think that MSU coach would take us to the top 10 years later and then become the Tiger's public enemy #1 in 20 years.

The younger ppl who don't remember this just don't know how bad it was. But there were some glimmers of light in the sea of darkness, unfortunately they faded away. The Texas A&M opener was a 1:30 kickoff on ABC in TS. It was a game the Tigers really should have won, they were right there all day. MSU game was one of my favs. Tiger defense dominated, and there were some crazy things that happened in this game. Auburn was another game the tigers should have won, they came back from a huge defecit to take the lead with about aminute left just to see Auburn go down and kick a field goal. This was the game that was the down fall of the season. The team was never the same. Take it from someone who witnessed this season from my seats on the northend and had a good friend who went thru it on the field. Cherish the current times and savor every moment because it won't last forever.
