I remember when it was Shoney's Big Boy, and actually had the Big Boy statue out front.

The Mexican place that was "Booties" in front of the old Superstore on Johnston street. Has been at least 5 bars and 5 restaurants since 1990.

I am voting for the place on Calais. It was also "Tomato Grill" for a brief moment. No idea what they served. Vegetarian? That makes six different incarnations.

Tried South of Philly Saturday. Very good! I hope they can override the cursed location and the current road construction.

The location which is presently Monjuni's in Kenilworth Shopping Center has seen its share of failures. When Giovanni's got busted for the "special services" in the back room, it was Vincent's, then Tigre's and now Monjuni's.

it was giovanni's before that.

I think it was the Capital City Brewery around 1996-97. At some point it became Screaming Coyote then Poets.

Not sure of what else was there.

Vincent moved to Essen for a larger audience. See where that got them. Tigre's closed because he wanted to open Vic's Chophouse. See where that got him.

Monjuni's will do well as did Giovanni's. They only had trouble when he turned it over to his manager.

Not a bad location. Operator error more like it.

Shawn Burk's family had it for awhile as a seafood place.

The spot off of college that killed Phil's

The people that owned Ruby's under the interstate built this building and moved to it. They sold the place under the overpass to Smokey and he renamed it George's.

He's still there.

Ruby's is dead.

Phils did the same thing and it was stupid. He had a great thing going on Government. Good thing for Opie though.

It was another seafood place and I believe an italian joint as well.

Martini,

I thought Phil's closed because the owner died and his son either did not or could not run it well. They had great seafood.

Oneal lane headed south, after crossing over S. Harrell's Ferry, right past the nasty arse condos there is a shopping center to your left that has had at least 4 restaurants in it. I think the newest Mexican joint in it lasted about 2 weeks.
