Why did so many black soldiers die during the war?

Because when the seargent yelled "Get Down!" they all jumped up and started dancing.

and on a side note, spike lee sucks cock and his a racist douchebag. clint eastwood has academy award winning movies he directed under his belt

so one line in one movie settles the whole argument, eh? The point was, you asserted that Mystic River was the only movie Eastwood ever directed that compares with anything Lee ever did, which is just incorrect.

It goes to show you:

The black man invented baseball,
invented football,
invented basketball,
Won WWII singlehanded,
Beat the Confederate Army singlehanded
and won the Civil War.

The feud was the inspiration behind Spike Lee's Miracle at St. Anna which was hailed by critics as epic. Is it good? I have been waiting on netflix to send it for weeks now.

In the trailer that used to come on TV it says "Roger Ebert calls it epic".

the trailer looked good. I wanna see it. Regarding Eastwood, Gran Torino was great, but the kid actor was pretty bad. That scene when he was locked up in the basement had me laughing when I really shouldnt have had that feeling.

I kind of agree with the "Family guy" assessment of Spike Lee. He isn't even remotely close to being as good a director as Eastwood IMO. The Unforgiven, Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby are all much better then anything Lee has directed.

Yeah, Girl 6, She Hate Me, and She's Gotta Have It were really amazing films. They were definitely overlooked by the mainstream press

I haven't seen Malcolm X or Clockers, but the only Spike Lee films that have actually impressed me were Do the Right Thing, Inside Man, 25th Hour, and Bamboozled. He certainly isn't a bad director, but he has put out a lot of bad movies. Of course, part of that is because of his prolific work rate. He does put out a film every year or so.

Miracle at St Anna made 9 million WORLDWIDE. The only epic thing about the movie was the EPIC failure.

I hate Spike as much as the next guy, but he has talent. He just wastes so much of it stirring up crap all the time.

I think the insider is good movie. Would be great except the whole Jodie Foster plot seems like someone shoehorned that in at the end of the writing process.

25th hour is another good movie. The racist curse off from Do the Right Thing is golden even though I wish someone had killed Mookie at the end after trashing the Pizzeria.

I'm not familiar with the amount of money a movie makes and if it is alot or not so what is the average and what would a movie like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull make worldwide?

I would guess the latest Indian Jones movie made 350-400 million worldwide.

IMDB Weekly/Gross Chart Keep in mind that this chart only tracks domestic numbers. Miracle in St. Anna was a huge flop for Spike, but some of his movies (most notably Inside Man and He Got Game) have done very well at the box office. Many others had small budgets and limited releases, so it wasn't exactly surprising when they didn't make much money.

Lee's Katrina docu-lie was nothing but a pack of racist legends. "Whitey blew up the levees" and all of that shite.

I hope he rots in the hell he creates, I will never see anything he is connected with.

Eastwood is a man with talent. Lee is a pimp with an agenda.

Lee is a decent director, and has done some good movies. But Eastwood is an Icon, actor and director. What if Clint had been a director more times than an actor, how many more hits would he have had?

Clint probably didn't cast blacks in Gran Torino because they couldn't handle the jokes, racism, ..... That's the problem with blacks, can dish it out but can't take a joke or some BS comments that don't mean squat. That's what the movie was about, the man was a racist but that didn't stop him from doing good things.

If you want something in this country, stand up and start whooping some a$$, not sitting around bitching. Be a working man, geez....

Spike is 10 times more talented than THE ROOKIE. Oh yeah i guess a guy riding all over the country with a monkey and a catch phrase "RIGHT TURN CLYDE" is what you guys consider talented. The racism just permeates from the board. I can smell it all over you.

True, I hate him. He does have some good movies, but Eastwood has better films overall.

Lee's Katrina documentary was excellent, and to say it was racist is just stupid. The point of his documentary was to capture the perspectives of people from all backgrounds and he did. Hell, he had white trash types from St. Bernard for a good portion of the documentary.

Everyone who criticized it didn't even watch it.

Just like host most people knocking Lee have hardly seen any of his movies. It's just convenient for them to bash Lee as it is to bash Sean Penn, etc.

Miracle cost 45 mil to make and only made 9 mil worldwide.

The latest Indiana Jones film cost 185 mil to make and brought in 786 million worldwide.

Inside man cost 45 mil to make and brought in 185 mil worldwide. So he can make good movies.
