Is the $100/year subscription to Scout worth it? Is it a bad investment?

IMO Rivals sucks....

I've got a scout membership. However, I will be cancelling that as there is nothing there you cannot find on here...or somewhere else on the Net.

depends on how much depth you wish to take in recruiting. I think Sonny works about as hard as you can get with information. He does a hell of a job building report with recruits which tends to lead to more in depth interviews. Personally, something I like to read to get a feel for a recruits thought process. The cons are that Rivals National board is just set up better for video and chat rooms. If you don't follow it too closesly, you actually could learn the basic info from this board. There are plenty of guys here willing to help. It just depends on your personal interest. Essentially, neither site is very good for predicting recruits futures because we are dealing with 17-18 year olds and recruiting is just getting out of hand.

Mike S and Sonny do not know everything that is going on, they just know more than us. I actually belong to both TSD (scout) and Rivals, and I tend to think that Sonny and his staff (scout) have an edge over rivals. However, its all about how much you want to follow this stuff and how fast you want to know it.

Depends on what you're looking for. I'm not necessarily a member to be privy to inside information, and you can only trust what recruits say in articles so much, but it provides a lot of interesting reading and speculating to kill time with.

rivals is a superior recruiting service....

but on a local level - it all depends on who runs the site.

rivals and scout for LSU are probably pretty close - but i prefer rivals, because their main recruiting group (guys based out of nashville) are better than the scout group.

just my opinion

I belong to both as well, both have nice information as does TD. The biggest difference I find, there are more rude, and nasty comments on TD than both Rivals and Scout.
Some people are just rude of ignorant

I would like comments on Tiger Rag
