Saw this brew for the first time at my local liquor store (along with Andygator) so I decided to try it out. Apparently it was on the Abita select taps a while back, but I haven't been to Chimes since I moved away. Anyway, very nice effort from Abita in my opinion. Anyone else try it since it's been released in bottles?

We picked up the Abita Mardi Gras Bock today. It's cooling now, has anyone tried this one?

Anyone had the Satsuma Harvest Wheat? I have! I got it 2 weeks ago when I went for the tour... though I was disappointed in it...

I haven't tried the bottle release of the Abbey Ale yet, but I had it on tap at the Chimes several times, very good work by Abita.

I'm going to be looking for the bottles around BR. Calandro's had them but already sold out of the Abbey Ale.

Abita has blown their attempts at so many beers that I'm reluctant to try anything new by them. Their Amber and Andygator are solid but the IPA is blasphemous.

Throw Turbodog in the mix and those are my three favorites. Although I could substitute Purple haze for Abita Amber at any point.

Well the Abbey Ale and Oatmeal Stout, both newer brews, are two of their best ever.

Why? A statement like that needs to be backed up by a reason...

Because it is the worst example of an IPA I have ever tasted.

Can we start an Abita Big Bottle locator? I have yet to see them in BR.

Thanks in advance!
