I'm planning a fishing trip for my friend that is getting married in a few months. Has anyone used any charters that they would recommend? Or heard of any that I should check out? Thanks for the help.

Most of the people on RodNReel are pretty good. It also depends on what you want to catch and how many people are going.

T Man Cherimie in Larose is good for a small group chasing trout and reds.

Specs and Reds, i'm not even sure if the fishing is good for those in Mar-May. Not quite sure when our trip will be.

I would try the later part of that time frame. Speck fishing in late April and May is usually very good. You can catch some large trout during spawning especially near some of the barrier islands.

Capt. Jeff Fuscia(foo-shay)
Been with him numerous times and had a blast. He also has a partner that is considered one of the best guides for Specs. Capt Brandon Carter. Top notch guides and have a nice place to stay too. Just stay at their place with them. You will not be dissappointed if you go this route. And this is just one of many many guides who are great, just happen to be the ones I go with.

Top Water Charters in Cocodrie is really nice. They have a place you can sleep at and the boats are really nice - Blackjacks. Owner is Bryce and they run a good operation.

Cajun Fishing Adventures in Buras is a great set-up. Ryam Lambert is the owner and he has a very nice lodge and knowledgeable guides. It is on Hwy 23, just past the giant flag pole in Buras. Been about six times and always had a blast.
