Should we bench all the starters or just forfeit the meaningless game?

No games are meaningless. "You play to win the game."

You sir are an idiot.

Drew would still play the whole game even if he wasn't trying to break the record.

if any of yall saw the Saints Tonight episode yesterday and you saw the Drew Brees interview...then you know the record is not meaningless. When Drew Brees was asked about breaking the record it took him a few seconds to talk and then followed with...the most important/incredible record there is for a quarterback. You are a fig for saying all of this is meaningless.

I mean, why not go for it? It's not like he can pull a Ricky Davis and just throw a brick off the backboard to get his 10th rebound for a triple-double.

He has to get 402 yards. That's fricking hard.

Not to mention it's a division rival that STILL hasn't clinched the division and beat the Saints big last time. The game is not meaningless.

Drew said it's a prestigious record, but he also said they're not going to abandon the run (anymore than usual, at least) just to gun for the record:

"If it happens, it happens."

Seriously, why would you laugh at our starting quarterback getting injured. Pussy arse flamer.

What if he makes no overt attempt to break the record by employing a game plan fundamentally different than those used in the previous 15 games and still succumbs to injury. Would that be ROFL funny to you also?

He's just as likely/unlikely to be injured whether going for the record or not. Injuries can occur on any type of play. That being a given, why not take a shot at the record books? Or do you advocate his not playing?
