My oldest son had GI issues that lingered for over a year. TMI, but he was getting backed up to the point that it enlarged his colon, and the blockage was still there, but new poop was seeping around it. If what you're dealing with is chronic, you may want to go see a GI doc. If it is occasional, a daily dose of Miralax helps. We had to do a weekend of enemas, stronger laxatives, to clear out the blockage, then do the daily Miralax. It is a powder that mostly dissolves in any liquid. We used apple juice to mask the taste and he had to just chug it every morning.

Increase daily fluid intake, specifically water.
Increase daily fiber intake, this can be done with increased green veggies or easier with a Metamucil supp
Daily miralax.

But the strongest will be Linzess. It starts at 72mg daily. The sample pack has like 4-5 and if you take one a day during the sample pack, your constipation will be relieved

Amazon reviews say sugar free gummie bears will sort you out.

I'm not going to claim this as a cure, or even say it's for everyone, but when I started the carnivore diet there was a definite change in my GI system. For me, when on carnivore, there would be no chance of constipation. Much the opposite.

As a last resort, 2-3tsp of epsom salt dissolved in water will get you cleaned out. Just be close to a toilet. You should be drinking plenty of water in the meantime.

My GI doc told me to take Miralax + Benefiber, and of course drink plenty of water. Worked for me. I take Benefiber daily now, Miralax is only taken when needed.

I struggle with it from chemo. Daily miralax and stool softeners will keep you regular along with plenty water.

I have no health issues, but this works for me:

drink 7-8 bottles of water (a gallon) for a few days. Be sure to get some salts or electrolyte tabs/sticks too.

Metamucil works well on binding everything (nice long no wiper), but you gotta have a lot of water with it throughout day or it will constipate.
