Took home what i thought was a cougar from Cadillac Cafe. Turned into a ravenous bobcat that wrecked a week of my life. Lesson learnt!

Had a neat morning getting to know a new patient.
He’s from Poland and spoke for hours about the Holocaust and his family members who were killed at Auschwitz.
It was sad and interesting at the same time.
ETA: I’ve done a lot of dumb shite in my life.

It was really neat. I love being able to hear first hand accounts of history from people.
I’ve only met a few people/patients who are from Europe and had experiences related to WWII. One was a german civilian who was a teenager during the war and spoke of how atrocious the Nazi regime was to his family bc they were not in alignment with the nazi philosophy.

It’s kinda long but involves 2 girls from/living in Chalmette who got 2 flat tires in the 9th Ward from jumping the loading ramp during early morning hours. One accidentally shot a hole through the bottom of her new Liz Claiborne purse when some locals approached and the locals ended up being more scared of the girls and not only changed their flats but “found” them a second tire to get them the hell out of there
