Cortez Hankton is ELITE

Excited to see what he does with the WR room this year. #1 WR in the country already committed to 2025 class. Our offense will be elite for years to come.
This video with him & Nabers was really cool too.

If I were him and LSU I ABSOLUTELY would use this as marketing for recruiting purposes. But if we are being fair, he didn't sign Nabers, Thomas, or Burton. But if you are going to give him credit for developing Nabers and Thomas, you probably can't do the same for Burton and Mitchell since they had better seasons when he wasn't their coach.
That's not a knock on Hankton. It just that the post, while technically true, is probably a bit misleading

He coached them all at some point in their career. It’s not misleading.

While they might have also been recruited/coached by others, you can’t deny all 5 players were coached/developed by Hankton at some point.

If I recall, uga recruited Nabers as a CB when Hankton was there

Brad Davis seems to be content with being an LSU lifer.
Bo just got here.
Sloan is ideally here for the extent of Bryce's career at minimum.
Hankton is the only elite position coach that I'm worried we'll lose in the near future.
Some school will give him the sole OC job or he'll take something in the NFL. Sucks but that's the business. Enjoy him while we have him!

I thought Georgia fans disliked him and was happy to see him go to LSU? He seems to be doing a great job at LSU but it also seems like he wants a full OC job somewhere. Not sure how much longer LSU can hold onto him.

Damn straight, the development is what drives greatness, otherwise it is just latent "talent".

Maybe. He interviewed with the LA Rams a couple years ago & is still at LSU. He’s 43 with young kids & is from St. Aug in Nola. Hopefully we can keep him & Sloan around for awhile with the Co-OC $$

I think he’s related to Telly. So good for him for not falling into all that.

What an incredible letter from Coach Hank to Malik. You can tell he really puts his all into not only developing his players on the field, but also preparing them for life.

They were having a lot of issues with injuries. Also upperclassmen not developing into what they hoped the prospects would be. A lot of freshman stepped up under him. Again though, many many injuries. So it was easy to blame him due to high hopes and the group not panning out how they expected.
