She’s already made over $3 million due to her NIL deals. She’ll be raking in a ton of cash through endorsements.
She needs to cash in now while she can. This is probably going to be the peak of her fame and popularity.

WNBA season will probably start off with lots of hype and interest, mainly because of Clark. But I think that interest probably fades as the season goes on. Late-season WNBA and their playoffs go up against the start of football season and MLB playoffs. She won't be one of the lead stories on ESPN every other day once that happens.

I know she probably wants to play in the WNBA but she’s a fool not to take Ice Cubes offer of $5 million to play for the Big 3. She’ll never make $5 million in here WNBA career

She'll be raking in more endorsement dough if she gets picked for the Olympic team.

Atleast it's Indiana where the cost of living isn't insane. How do you live on that in NYC or LA?

The WNBA is subsidized by the NBA and for all their lefty bullshite, you won't see any of those players giving up salary to compensate the WNBA players.

It's a losing business model. Expenses > Revenue. Negative unit economics. They quite literally cannot get people to pay more for the product than it costs them to provide it.

Nobody gives a shite about women playing basketball, just like nobody gives a shite about male models. The money goes where the value is.

She'll make the team just for the exposure I bet.

She will stick because the media wants her to stick. No one really gives a shite about women’s basketball but damn the media wants us to

Which begs the question, who paid for that ridiculous spectacle that was the WNBA draft? Acting like it was the Oscars. Well, we all know.... NBA pays TV, instead of the normal, other way around.

Keyshawn Johnson admitted, "I thought the WNBA players made at least $500k a year, I don't know why I thought that?"

You know why you thought that. The manufactured marketing lie about the league being sold to the public.

I’m sure there will be some white knights to come along and tell me how I’m an incel and I hate women but in reality most women just suck at basketball. I tried watching the LSU women’s team and their level of play is just subpar. If I enjoy basketball, why would I ever watch women’s basketball over men’s basketball unless I’m just trying to be equitable

It's a weird loop here in that Caitlin Clark the "brand" is clearly worth millions, but Caitlin Clark the player is not worth 10% of that.

I was about to ask what became of that. Did she formally decline it or is that still on the table?

Eh that's true for the top of the line NBA players too. Just on a larger scale. Isn't Lebron's net worth north of a billion? His NBA salary is not even $50 mil, or not even 5% of his net worth

They'll be petitioning the government to subsidize the league soon.

Not to mention, most players are single, and you have to live in cities that aren't cheap to live in

You can't live in New York for that salary
she actually hit the lottery going to Indianapolis. she'll do just fine off of that there i imagine (not counting for endorsements obviously)

NEVER underestimate ESPN’s commitment to shove a fringe product down our throats. Especially if they have the TV rights to that product.

im guessing it wasnt true. If so she'd be a fool not to take it, or at least try to do both WNBA and Big 3.

Is it really shoving down your throat? ESPN exists to display and promote sports. The WNBA is a sports league.

Not even the LFL lost money every year...

That's just crazy. LA Lakers won their in-season tourney and each got $500,000. With ESPN carrying so many WNBA games and having regional TV, that king of chump change doesn't even make sense.
