I know she probably wants to play in the WNBA but she’s a fool not to take Ice Cubes offer of $5 million to play for the Big 3.
I was about to ask what became of that. Did she formally decline it or is that still on the table?
Hadn't followed it, but my understanding was (if a legit offer) that it would not interfere with her NBA season. So, if a legitimate offer and true, she could do both.

WNBA has no value currently.
The value goes up, her salary goes up.

The WNBA is subsidized by the NBA and for all their lefty bullshite, you won't see any of those players giving up salary to compensate the WNBA players.
Why do the players have to give up their salaries? Was the contract to set-up the WNBA set-up through the players union, or is it being propped up by the owners? If by the owners, then any changes would need to come from the owners profits.

Pretty good considering her employer has yet to have a profitable year.

The deal is the WNBA is the 1930's, 40's of Pro Football when nobody gave a shite. The NFL had a championship game in a Circus arena full of Elephant dung.
College Football was king. Same now for women. .Nobody cares about the WNBA...
The only traction women's basketball is getting isn't some mass movement in fandom...its just from College and it's the usual reasons...students, parents or "Subway Alumni" (fans who are known for their strict allegiance to the school although never attending or graduating from the school.).
Clark should've played another year, endorse every car dealership in Des Moines and then run for Mayor.

Doesn’t the WNBA lose money every year? They are fortunate to be getting paid at all. I don’t say that as a hater either, just the reality of it.
Absolutely yes. The melts on Twitter from the Karens have been funny hearing them say "Oh this isn't fair! They should be paid the same as NBA players! Blah blah blah!"
Morons, the WNBA makes no money, no one watches, and not one person gives a frick about the WNBA, especially the women. The NBA gets billions and billions every single year and will continue to do so until further existence, and you think everyone should be paid the same?

That’s peanuts compared to what she will make endorsements.

I would bet her NIL deals are structured to be long term that carry with her post college. The players have professionals brokering their NIL deals. They are smart people.

She’s better served to not so she can have the “could she play with the men?” mystique
Kinda like rousey until women started whipping her arse

Yeah I guarantee most of them can’t name even 5 WNBA teams even though there’s only a small handful of teams

Yeah. Makes absolutely zero sense. Of course biden tweeted it too
I guess he knows how important that female vote is since it's the only vote dems win

Now tell those Karen’s that the players fly coach on commercial flights and remind them that the NBA charters all their flights.

You are partly correct. But don't forget that the women's title game drew 17 million people. There isn't nearly 17 million people in Iowa, let alone Iowa fans to bring the number that high.
Not to mention the WNBA draft just had their highest viewership ratings x4.

I don't think these numbers will be fully sustainable. But there has most definitely been a big movement in fandom.

quote:Like Angel. She would have made more to stay in college. I don’t think her game translates yet.
Clark is the outlier, her endorsements will be fine and wait till she sells her own shoe line It's other players that might not have the same value like they did in college

You know why she makes less than Lebron?
Hard core sexism.
Zero other factors need to be taken into consideration.
None whatsoever.

NEVER underestimate ESPN’s commitment to shove a fringe product down our throats. Especially if they have the TV rights to that product.
Then ESPN can pony up during the next contract negotiation and pay a $Billion license fee to air the games. If they are not willing to pay up then don’t hype them up

Here's what the controversy is all about:
She's the Eminen of Women's BB and will draw fans that don't traditionally watch the WNBA because she's a white chick.
