Oh...my...goodness...that's honestly sad.

Doesn’t the WNBA lose money every year? They are fortunate to be getting paid at all. I don’t say that as a hater either, just the reality of it.

There's a reason Griner and a lot of the other top talent were playing in Russia.
Not really an issue for Clark as she's going to make tens of million in endorsements.

Nba needs to make sure they are woke and adhering to dei

She’s already made over $3 million due to her NIL deals. She’ll be raking in a ton of cash through endorsements.

Traveling the country making this much money my first 4 years out of college? I'd feel like the luckiest kid in the country.

Not to mention, most players are single, and you have to live in cities that aren't cheap to live in
You can't live in New York for that salary

The longer she plays in the WNBA the more her popularity will fade away.
Hope she cashes in on sponsors now.

Her NIL deals were for her exposure in the college game. She will get significantly less exposure in the wbna.

Clark is the outlier, her endorsements will be fine and wait till she sells her own shoe line
It's other players that might not have the same value like they did in college

Yah I think she sticks - she'll be in a ton of national ads

Taxes and her agent getting 10%?

Why? They don't attract fans. Are you sad a sanitation workers makes $50k?
She's going to make all her money in endorsements anyways. She won't hurt.

Her jerseys sold out in less than one hour last night. Fanatics said she was the best selling draft pick they’ve ever had. She was just on SNL, she is on a ton of commercials already. The Fever had 17,000 for their WNBA watch party and they will have over 30 games being broadcasted this year with a huge run on tickets wherever she plays. The LV team is already looking for a bigger venue when Indiana plays there.

What’s also sad is the top 5 draft picks make the same amount each year of their 4 year contracts. So the 1st pick and the 5th pick make the same amount by the end of their rookie contract.

I read this yesterday. Each team has a hard salary cap of $1.4MM. They have to carry a minimum of 11 players and a max of 12. The max a player can make is $200k, unless they are a superstar then they can make $240k.

If my company made zero dollars, I'd make zero dollars. She's getting a good deal imo
