What does this team look like next year without Tanks in the lineup?

no way to know. i'd like to believe they bring in a couple of solid bats from the portal.

It honestly can't get any worse. This team is averaging less than 4 runs a game in conference play.

There will be new names and faces for sure. Larson and Milam will be key guys and like it or not, Kling

We've been told that Kling is a projected 1st round draft eligible sophomore for 2 years now though

I feel ok about the pitching. I think Jump and Herring are draft eligible but if we can get 1 or both of them back we have something to build off of with Shores, Noot, Anderson, Moffett, and Johnson. Hurd's draft stock has to be dropping right now too so he may consider coming back for better or for worse. That's a pretty good start to the pitching staff.

I don't feel good at all about the bats. It'll be the same thing as this year, completely dependent on Neal, Kling, Frey, and Jones taking the leap that scouts believe they are capable of - assuming they don't go pro. Pearson likely returns and we know he can be good when he's hot. I think Milam is a good player but I think he is what he is and don't expect him to make a big jump next year. Larson has been impressive but it's too early to tell with him imo. Once he gets a few more ABs and the SEC gets a scouting report on him it'll be interesting to see if he drops off like most freshmen do

White, Bingham, Travinski, and Pearson will all be gone. So far Larson looks like the only freshman that’s strong at the plate. Hopefully, Brown, Milam, and Kucharek can improve, but this will seem like a completely different team next year.

Very interested to see who the true "Portal Jay" is. He's had two years with it.

Knocked it the frick out of the park one year, got a golden sombrero the next year.

Pearson is a junior. You saying he’s going in the draft?

I think the early exit in the first year helped us and the championship run actually hurt us in the portal based off how much time we had to dedicate to it.

I read your analysis - are you shocked how this season is unfolding?
