This is the correct answer.
The rich people that make all the rules but it never applies to them.
The ones who run this country or the world for that matter. The Spoon fed spoiled brats that never had to actually make it own there own bc everything was handed to them bc of who they are or who they know.
They get in trouble or do things that if a normal everyday citizen did woukd rott in jail.
I don't believe it's the Rich people that the OP is referring to.
Why would anyone hate a hard working or educated human being that was smart with investing or saving or just had great ideas and made a fortune.
I have a buddy in la. That is a great guy. Graduated from Lsu and started building houses. Good contractor and started a diffrent business also related to construction. He just sold his business for 825 million a couple years ago.
That was made off of sheer hard work and determination.

They were taught to. Never mind the fact that many people are rich because they were innovators creating things that make our society better, creating many many jobs along the way and tax revenue that funds our government.

Lots of people will point to their kids and others who inherit their wealth, and my response to that is always that people will do whatever they can to provide great life for their kids, so even if the kids didn't "do anything" who is anyone else that didn't do anything to say they're more deserving of someone else's wealth? Sorry honey, my family deserves my wealth more than you and your dumb kids.

It's pure envy and/or idiocy.

Many think wealth is a zero sum game. They think because Musk or Bezos has billions somehow that keeps them from being successful.

Also, politicians have done a great job creating the rich boogeyman. It's easier for them to deflect blame from themselves when in reality politicians do more to hold people back from wealth than any other entity.

Is hating the rich political?

What is rich? millionaire, multimillionaire? Billionaire? Multibillionaire?

Money just gives people an outlet to be more of who they really want to be.

Dave Portnoy is rich and routinely gives away money and fundraises for what he sees as worthy causes

Bill Gates is rich and believes in controlling population

I know some multi-millionaires, they buy land and tractors and donate to local schools and causes. And you wouldn't know they worth as much as they're worth on the street because they drive regular trucks and wear regular clothes. As a matter of fact, I know plenty of plant operators that live in bigger houses and drive newer trucks.

One of the greatest tricks the Progressive Left ever pulled was "Occupy Wall Street". This was promoted by the wealthiest members of Congress on the left, like Pelosi, Biden, Watters, etc. All of these people have garnered millions and millions of OUR tax dollars via DC grift, yet they convinced their idiot followers to go after someone else.

What a time to be alive.

Fast forward 20 years later, these same lefties are now pro war, pro big pharma, pro pedophelia and pro jail my political opponents, all because the "richER" politicians still in DC are telling them this is the way now.

The current hatred of "the rich" from the views of the O-T would be that it is rooted in Marxism as noted by how incredibly popular his teachings are with the "younger people." The French Revolution was an indictment of the state of the monarchy within France and the common people having no say in how they are governed which gave way for the birth of democracy,

I bet less than 1% of people under 30 in America even know who Karl Marx is much less are familiar with his teaching.

Class warfare has been around as long as mankind has agreed to exist within a society.

Ok, so we have for those under 30:

<1% know of Karl Marx (doubtful but sure)

<1% are familiar with his teachings (dead wrong)

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published the "Communist Manifesto" in 1848. So would consider knowing of communism or socialism are being familiar with his teachngs?

On the other hand, I generally dislike people with inherited wealth. They earned nothing.

The problem here is that you can’t have the former without the latter. You can’t tell someone there is no limit to the rewards he or she can earn through merit, hard work and risk taking, then tell them at the end of their lives that they can’t do what they wish with their rewards when they decide they want to spoil children and grandchildren. Of course it’s a bad idea but it’s their choice to make.
