92gts standard

Has anyone heard anything about Beretta offering a version of the gts without a rail? I haven't seen anything or heard anything, but I'm hoping they offer one.

Why not just get an M9?

I will admit, I have no idea what the differences are between those.

M9 has a slide mounted safety/decocker while this one has a frame mounted safety/decocker The slide mount is a pita to reach.

ETA: I dont get the appeal of a 92. I have one and if it wouldnt have been a gift from the wife it would have been sold a long long time ago.

I have an M9 (92FS). This is the GTS. Different than an M9 (92FS).

Nope. The M9 is the same as the 92FS. This is the new 92 GTS. I provided the link in the op.

I picked up the 92 XI SAO yesterday. Has the frame mounted safety with no decocker. Alloy frame.

I mean, it's a cool pistol and I'll never sell mine, but it hasn't left the safe in a long long time.

My 92FS and/or my 92X seldom sees more than a week or so in the safe. One or both are usually in my range bag or in my SUV. I shoot them nearly as often as my Springfield and Magnum Research 1911s.

A M9 is my next on my purchase list. I don't need all the bells and whistles.

Yes. It’s what 92 fans have been asking for decades for Beretta to do. I’ll take one in Centurion, please.

The 92 platform is probably one of the easiest shooting pistol platforms ever made. They are very accurate, very little felt recoil and easy to operate along with being reliable. Its drawbacks are its heavy and more expensive than its striker fired counterparts.

Read up on the "upgrades" with the gts. It's not "bells and whistles." It's basically common sense that Beretta should have listened to back in the 70s/80s/90s....etc. This is now considered their flagship gun. A new 92GTS will only cost $50-75 more than a 92FS (M9). Check it out!

Exactly! The only thing I shoot better is a government model 1911. I'd EDC a full size 1911 if I could!

The 92 XI (9211) is a hybrid. 92 slide with a 1911 grip. It has the the pic rail and a frame safety.

Love the alloy frame. I just cant do plastic unless its a mud gun.

For a $800-900 pistol, the reviews are pretty shitty on the trigger for the XI

So is the GTS. The trigger is better than the XI, though.

XI trigger is fine, it just has some takeup. I see a lot of people complaining about it, I think they just watch youtube videos.

Its crisp, less than 4 lbs.
