You do know this is NOT something a politician will ever do. Or at least not truely mean it if they were to do what they would consider an apology.

Well maybe he would not have said anything if the snowflake arse LSU athletic department acted like they care about the country instead of burying their little stupid liberal heads in the locker room….how about that

It has never been standard practice for college teams to be present for the anthem. Not just LSU. Pros mandate. College doesn't.

I don’t like people who kneel or skip the anthem, but I also feel a person has the constitutional right to do so.

Our players are not disrespecting ANYTHING about this country...Jesus tap dancing Christ...get with the facts.

That’s because he’s trying the lay the foundation for a presidential run in 2028. He thinks this is a winning issue, and to be frank, because of how low turnout party primaries are, he’s probably not wrong when it comes to getting the Republican nomination.

And just like Bobby Jindal, he will fail catastrophically.

Can someone ask this idiot if he's going to criticize Army's football team for being in the locker room during the anthem in Tiger Stadium this past fall?

Depends on the circumstance, but I guess you are right. Pretty sad they rather double down and look stupid than get it right.

I don't like it either, but I like knowing exactly who these people are.

It’s the neo-con way.

Did she do this her entire time at Baylor or did it just start as a way to deal with the protest problem?

I really don’t watch women’s basketball and rarely pay attention to Baylor stuff, so I honestly don’t know.

He’s the governor of Louisiana. I think that comes with the territory.

It has nothing to do with any kind of agenda. It's just their routine, one that many other teams do as well.

Dawn Staley spoke on this and when they won their title in 2021 they weren't on the floor for the anthem. Yet, there are times when they are on the floor for the anthem.

Bottom line, a team isn't going to change their routine to be on the floor for the anthem. What has become apparent is the time the anthem is played as according to tv broadcast and other factors is what is inconsistent.

He is a politician. My expectations are about as low as they get for all politicians.

Did this guy run unopposed? Don’t keep up with LA politics but I’ve already heard enough of this guy.

Nope. There were others, including other conservative-leaning candidates who made real career incomes outside of government & politics, unlike Jeff.

But he was endorsed by “MAGA”, so if you preferred one of the other Republican candidates for Governor, you were some sort of leftist.

The team didn’t walk off the court because of the anthem, they went to their locker room because they were done with their pre-game warm up. CKM addressed this after the game in the press conference.

It was a wrong overreaction by Landry—of course it was April 1st.

Jindal was the worst Gov. In the last generation, but Landry will be even worse. Say what you will about Jindal and his blinding ambition, at least he was not deeply stupid. Can’t say that about Landry.
