Easy answer. Find the guys that wanna play and take coaching and put them on the field regardless of "talent." Build the core of a team for next year.

Milam should not be a starter, especially if he can’t hit a homer lol

Milazzo needs to be the primary catcher - he’s the definition of an effort leader.

His lack of effort on looking for a blocked ball effectively lost us a game against Florida.

Hahaha. No it didn’t So you're saying a Sr Graduate catcher trying to backhand a breaking ball in the dirt during the top of 8th with a runner on 3rd wasn't laziness and didn't effect the outcome of the game?

I will say he needs more “it’s my fault, I shouldn’t have recruited you” instead of teetering on the Maineri line of blaming the players so much.

This is silly. There is absolutely nothing productive about publicly lamenting your past recruiting choices in April. The roster is the roster.

Jay’s still trying to get this squad to play better.

Oh so you just didn’t watch the play and have no clue what you are talking about? Got it.

Why do people continue to say this? You don't know that. They are several games into the season and look where we are.

we are more talented than Southern.

thats the problem.

Giving up 12 runs when we had Kade and Hurd out there is a huge fricking issue.

Southern players were taking selfies with their girlfriends before the game

They played loose and confident without a care in the world

LSU meanwhile hasn’t played confident baseball since the Astros classic

At 4:15 does he admit to walking a batter intentionally? Lol

Idgaf how good a hitter is. If he plays for SOUTHERN you should never do that. Jay is a perfectionist but he’s also a chronic over-thinker.

So are they losing because of leadership or not?

OWN IT! He recruited them.
JJ and his staff simply are not coaching these guys up. Like it or not that's truth.

I've seen this happen on all levels of sports. Alabama was the only school I've seen have success every year with leadership. They got that from Saban mostly but every year there always seemed to be someone on that squad that was leading on the field and off.

When you lose 4-5 veterans that were all leaders- the people who didn't have to lead and only had to produce either have to accept the leadership role or move over. Sounds like it's going to be a long season. You are either a leader or a follower. Nothing wrong with being a follower but in sports you have to have someone as a leader. LSU clearly lacks that. It's almost tangible
