St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones plans to hold local businesses accountable for violent crime outside their establishments, she told Action News 5.
Her comments came while attending a meeting of the Black Mayors’ Coalition on Crime. The group, launched this week by Memphis, Tennessee Mayor Paul Young, aims to “harness the collective power of black mayors across the nation to fight crime” and includes 21 leaders of cities across the country.
We have a lot of violence around convenience stores and gas stations,” Jones said of St. Louis. “So how can we hold those business owners accountable and also bring down crime? Some of the things we’re already doing, we’re finding that other mayors are doing as well.”
I thought this was a Babylon Bee article but I wouldn’t want to be a business owner in St Louis right now if they are going to push for that.

Enforce loitering laws on those businesses' property, which I'm sure the owners would support, and the problem is dealt with.
If the owners do anything on their own, they're straight fricked.

She's talking about violent crime, not retail theft. Enforce loitering and the scumbags don't hang out in the parking lots.

If an Arab or Asian store owner shot a black teen to prevent him from doing harm to customers or those nearby, this mayor would advocate for murder charges, put a dashiki on, go on MSNBC and CNN and talk about how white supremacy was killing young black men.

Cool. Don't carry Swishers, Lotto or tall boys. Problem solved.

They want a lawless society. There’s no other explanation.

No. They want a state engaged in anarcho-tyranny.

I want to be a mayor and start a all races except black coalition. Its not fair that black mayors get to meet and discuss issues and other mayors don't have that opportunity. It will welcome all except for blacks... since they have their own.

Collective power of black mayors just means they'll lobby for federal funds which will enrich siblings and cousins.

Is there any more consistent sign that your city has gone to shite than having a mayoress like...that?
