I doubted and was skeptical but this team has gotten so much better and the program is going somewhere.

Now I’d like to see him nail down a few solid recruits.

Let’s make sure he doesn’t squander a 20-point halftime lead before this thread

No he has done his job. The South Carolina coach has done an outstanding job as they might win the league in year 2 with basically a new roster.

That was an easier job. I believe that black cloud regarding sanctions around the program really hurt LSU.

He has done a very good job this year with the level of talent available to him. I am hopeful that this trend continues.

Well McMahon beat that coach in that coaches house. No chance he wins the league either. It’s universally known that McMahon had a tougher road than the SC coach.

He's done a great job, chance to finish 10-8 in the league.

Correct, if he recruits, he's good. That will be the key.

With the string of close, frustrating losses, it would have been easy for him to lose the team, but they simply fought harder, and they began to get better and better. It's difficult to keep a team together, much less improving, through all that.

I agree.
We need more NIL money to get channeled to basketball. Right now it appears to be below on the totem pole to football, baseball and women's basketball, not to mention gymnastics.

I did and was too. And after the OOC slate nothing had changed in that regard.

But in SEC play IT HAS CHANGED at least for me.

Now I still have some criticisms and have stated them here.

But the number one thing I said I wanted to see, which I had not before SEC play started this season under CMM is development and improvement and I'm seeing that now.

I'm very pleased to see it and I hope it continues.

There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. That will always be acceptable no matter who the coach is. But anyone who doesn’t see the improvement on this team and the development of the players doesn’t want to.

All you can ask for is to get better as the season goes and they have. Will give him his credit.

Still one could argue the criticism as being constructive or not, but I agree with the premise.

That's all I wanted to see and since SEC play has begun I've gotten what I wanted.

I'd still like to see some different rotations and tweaks on who plays when and how much, but at least I think we are finally seeing individual and collective progress and improvement and that pleases me.

I thought they would win 2-3 SEC games they have won 8. Not a bad job by McMahon

I thought 6 and I also agree, we exceeded my expectations in SEC play and I'm pleased about that.
