I can see it going to the symphony or opera.

I'll give you that, but I feel fairly confident this isn't what Op is talking about as I can't recall any concert like that where I've stood or seen anyone else not sitting in their seats.

I really only go to Tip's and The Maple Leaf so there aren't any seats.

for those who are shitting on the sitters, what exactly are you achieving by standing that you cant do sitting? Are you moving and dancing so hard you are taking up a large space? if so people hate you.

Mosh pits are an obvious exception.

i like a combination of the two. Best concerts ive been to were ones where i could leave my seat to go to a standing area to be a little more active but could go back to my seat to chill i a felt like it.

There just isn't much point to going to a concert just to sit, especially if you're going to complain about others standing.

What kind of concerts are you sitting down for? Lawrence Welk?

completely depends on the venue.

Stadium - floor seats are usually standing, whereas the stadium seats are the sitters.

Small auditorium - usually sitting

Outdoor - standing.

I don't mind any of them, if its a good concert.

Still young enough to prefer general admission and be as close to the stage as possible. If it's more of a chill band or a all day festival I don't mind sitting.

Standing and grooving. It blew my mind how many people were sitting with not so much as a head bob at Herbie Hancock at Jazz Fest last year. Some of the funkiest grooves known to man, and no movement. That shite is involuntary for me.

Depends on what type of…extra curriculars I may or may not have participated in. But at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, sitting on the grass on the hill is the only way to go.

It all depends on who you are seeing. Everyone hates those people who stand the entire time when nobody else in the section is standing but standing up for certain songs is acceptable

At a venue: find the bar, order drink, and lean. Later realize almost $100 was spent on my drinks.
