James Click traded Straw for six years of Yainer Diaz and two and a half seasons of Phil Maton, who posted a 111 ERA+ in the regular season and allowed one earned run in 18.1 playoff innings as an Astro.

I generally like Dana Brown so far, it’s a shame Click got run out of here after winning a WS

I was thinking, "that's kind of out of left field topic."

Then I see that Straw has been put on waivers and has 3 years and about $20MM left on his contract. Now it makes sense.

It looks like Joey has settled on his lineup

Altuve
Alvarez
Tucker
Bregman
Abreu

That lineup looks great on paper and could turn out to be profitable, esp since Alvarez and Tucker hit LHers well

But something about the added pressure of protecting Alvarez being put on Tucker’s shoulders makes me uneasy

Tucker is obviously seeking a big contract. He needs to be able to handle that pressure and produce if he deserves one, imo.

Just did it again.

Two three run tanks and a double for Breggy. Save some for next week brother.

I’ve been fooled on him the last few years, but feels like a monster year for Breg brewing. First fully healthy off-season in a while and a walk year

He and Abreu showing up before June would be a very positive development

Jake’s x-ray came back negative which is great news.

Last game in Florida before they head to Houston. Loperfido will start the season in AAA and be playing some first base. I’d imagine he will be impacting the big league club by May

Is it baseball season yet?

Games in Japan or wherever don't count.
