I’m by no means some elite player, but I actually find DkS1 easy enough now that, if I made it easier, it wouldn’t be the meditative distraction I’m looking for when I play it these days. My last play through, I cosplayed as the crestfallen knight just for a bit of extra flair

ER got me into these games, but man, I love DS1 and DS3. I would say DS3 is harder, but they’re both amazing. Hard for me to pick a favorite out of the two. Gun to my head, probably 3. I’m finishing up Bloodborne. All these games have done, is ruin me to other games.

Feels good man. That was a freaking bad arse game. Anyone else here a fan of this game? It's probably my favorite I've ever played.

So good. Have fun with all the fromsoft games.

These are the ones I have played...in order:
Bloodborne
Dark Souls 1 (remaster)
Sekiro
Elden Ring

Incredible. I want to start on the demon souls remake/remaster.

This is me too. This is kind of why I played it so slowly. I almost didn't want it to end because I don't see how any other game can top this one.

I just watched a YouTube video that said it's in testing now and could be released within weeks. I'm excited for it too.

This game was a banger and worth having a ps5 over Xbox by itself IMO…

Although getting platinum was a pain in the arse.

What’s crazy is…no matter how awesome I think Elden ring is…..and it’s fricking great….it still isn’t better than Bloodborne.

Both are beautiful works of art…just happens that one is a masterpiece. The other come close.

I believe Elden rings only flaw is that it’s tooo much fluff. Take out some of that open world and give us more solid castles, towns, etc. remove some of the easy boss fights and put that toward more challenging, bigger spectacle fights.

I bounced off of Sekiro. Not because it was too hard, but I just wasn't enjoying the combat style. I'll try again at some point.

It's ok to admit you couldn't "git gud" sheesh! Just kidding, it's for sure a different type of style. I did enjoy it but not sure it was as memorable as the others that I've played.

I also just remembered that FromSoft made Armored Core 6. Is that similar to these types of games? As in, you have to memorize a boss's move set?

I'm not sure why I keep putting Demon's souls off. I haven't bought a game since Elden Ring because of game pass/playstation pass (whatever it's called) but I am tempted to buy Final Fantasy 7 part 2.

I am scrub

The different style was the issue. Nothing wrong with it by any objective measure, but at the time, I just wasn’t in a place that I wanted to learn something completely new. It felt unfamiliar and foreign, and that just wasn’t what I was looking for. I’ll try it again at some point.

I’ll defer to others on AC. I haven’t picked it up.

DS3. The ringed city is just phenomenal.

But, that was my introduction to the series, so it'll always be my favorite.

I’m fascinated by this game. I’ve watched so many videos on it, but I still haven’t brought myself to play it because I suck at souls games. I tried DS1 twice and never made it past the Capra demon. Tried demon souls remake and didn’t really get stuck just kinda quit playing early on. Maybe one day I’ll give it a shot and just try to over level

If you ever want to pick it up again, start a thread. Good number of us on this board that should be able to offer tips that will get you over the hump

This thread has inspired me to pick up ER again.

I played close to 200 hours but never finished it because I got so frustrated in Crumbling Farum Azula. I kept getting wrecked almost instantly by those stupid arse knights that do the tornado attack.

Crumbling Farum Azula and the Haligtree were incredibly difficult late game areas (which is great because it seems like sometimes games start off really awesome and then lose steam at the end....definitely not the case in ER IMO)
