Where (in the BR area) is the best place to get fresh, Louisiana Gulf shrimp? I see a lot of imported (farm raised or wild caught) shrimp in the grocery stores.
Peace.
Peace.

If you're buying a lot, I would recommend driving down to one of the coastal towns to pick them up. We got some nice 15-20 count shrimp for $2/pound a couple months ago.

The best, freshest shrimp in town are sold on Airline at Tom Drive, just some lady out there with a sign that says Shrimp - she is only out there on Thurs, Fri and Sat, and when she runs out, she's closed for the day. She has the best prices and the freshest shrimp. She only takes cash. Jumbos are usually $4-4.50 per pound.
