Tallulah, LA. Used to drive that way to the beach years ago. Always some random folks drinking out of brown bags.

Gonzales Louisiana, they've ruined Burnside as it is nothing but closed buildings. Hwy 30 is a mess with traffic and Airline is nothing but crap all the way to Baton Rouge.

Pick any town in the Mississippi delta. It’s the land of the haves and have nots and with the land being completely flat it’s all out in the open. Depressing as hell.

Interesting bit of history about the Mississippi River. During WW2, they used to build submarines on docks on the Mississippi River and float them down to the Gulf to launch them.

Used to have a fun weekly poker tournament at Dickies before Cypress Bayou leaned on the law to have it raided and shite down, and then proceeded to close their own poker room. Guess the Indians still trying to get back at us.

Eutaw, AL update. While sitting at a gas station waiting on my brother, another couple pull up to a competing gas station across the street. Woman goes inside while the man sits in the car. My brother says “Look at this fricking guy….” Dude in the car gets out of the passenger side and proceeds to piss on the ground. Never mind it’s 2PM on a Saturday in a public parking lot or the fact that he could simply go inside and use the facilities. frick. Seen an uncomfortable amount of spaced out looking dudes just wandering around. Weird.

Any of the small towns littering Highway 15 between Vidalia and Rayville, LA. Wisner, Baskin, Mangham, etc. The ONLY thing keeping those places alive is speeding ticket revenue that Andy and Barney issue to motorists that violate their ridiculously slow speed limits.

Kaplan, it never really boomed compared to some of the other places mentioned here. Any economic growth ended up in Abbeville so I wouldn’t say it’s lost a lot, just never really had much to begin with. Best duck hunting in the state and food you can find, it’s not depressing unless you go there expecting something it never had.
