Girls wrestling has been approved as a sport for next year almost unanimously… the Owls will be one of the contenders for a chip IMO
If we can get some of the girls who are getting in fights to join the team, we might create a dynasty

What about the other classes, did they vote on getting back together?

The Transfer Rule was on the agenda. It would allow any high school athlete a ONE TIME transfer to the school of their choice without penalty.

Kids transferring freely for athletic reasons is a box one wants to see opened at the high school level. Public school funding and staffing is based on student enrollment. Start shuffling enrollment around and you're potentially losing funding and people are losing jobs, therefore widening the gap between the haves and have nots. Y'all just think the same schools are winning championships every year now...

I know the split is ridiculous on all levels,
The idea that grown adults in some position of power allowed the split to happen in the first place is a sad reflection on society.
One of the dumbest things I've ever seen happen in sports at any level.
They should reunite in all classes, regular and post season.

Meh.
Sure, move your entire family across a city before your kid goes to high school to comply with the completely imaginary idea of an attendance zone that in no way represents the population of the high school that your kid has been on track to go to since they were in kindergarten.
We aren't far away from being done with the antiquated attendance zone nonsense. I give it three to five years.

Explain how that works in magnet programs.
And even then, the idea that a kid who has been on track to attend a certain HS for a decade should have to move schools his/her 8th grade year just comply with some completely fabricated idea of “attendance zone” is ludicrous.
But, like I said, this won’t be a reality for long. Most states have already done away with it.

This isn’t an issue in Catholic schools

LHSAA had an opportunity to fix the BS incoming freshman/feeder school issue in executive committee in September, but Bonine is such an a-hole, he didn’t do it.
Because of his lack of interest, many kids lost their Freshman season and State Championships in fall sports were altered because contributing freshmen were not eligible, helping some schools and hurting others.
The LHSAA is a crooked organization, especially the executive committee.

Believe it or not, there are LHSAA schools that exist outside of New Orleans.

Too much racism in our state... Facebook moms aren't having "those kids" go to school with their daughters.
