I have a friend whose doctor prescribed Ozempic to lose weight. She has lost 60 pounds to date with 20 more pounds to lose. She is feeling much better. She was prediabetic and her doctor took her off her diabetes medicine since her Glucose and A1c lab are now totally normal. Has anyone used Ozempic or similar medication to help in losing weight?

Ask her if she takes it and see if she denies taking it.

Trulicity, a type of Ozempic is stocked out in South Texas. AND going off these drugs uncontrolled is strongly not recommended.

You still need some measure of discipline, even with the medication. If a person has a pathological need to eat because it has become a psychological crutch, it's unlikely to work very well. It does curb the appetite, but people who insist on eating on a rigid schedule will have to relax on that a bit as well.

Also, there are side effects. I tried it and a few months later I developed pancreatitis and let me tell you, that shite hoits.

The Ozempic craze seems crazy to me.

You have the most advanced biological tool in the entire
known universe, some say modeled after God himself, in between your ears....

And you're telling me that you cannot stop eating half a Domino's pizza in one sitting without medication?

The key with this type of drug is to not let any digestive or other issue wait too long before you consult your physician.

The stuff seems to work but the side effects can hit you fast.

I own part of a compounding pharmacy that compounds it. All great success stories from the patients and docs we’ve helped.

My Dr. put me on Mounjaro and it was awful. I was violently sick for 11 days. Couldn't eat or drink anything without throwing it up instantly. I can barely eat to this day and that was 3 mos ago.

I have lost my appetite completly. I have to force myself to eat now. I did lost about 40lbs but it wasn't worth it at all.

I would not recommend it.

I have a family member who's been on ozempic for type 2 diabetes for about a year. She said she only lost about 5 pounds (probably due to eating habits) but her A1c and cholesterol levels are down. So it seems like it must do something besides just curb appetite.

Bronkaid and caffeine twice a day and some good ole fashioned dieting will have you down 60 lbs in 3 months
