This is what he said about the DL hire last night:

That isn't imminent either, but those conversations are further along than the ones about DB coaches. They are still compiling one list while actively seeking potential candidates on the other. It's just two different stages of the process right now.

Jimmy was right and wrong. He said it wasn’t imminent and it was announced 14 hours later, lol.
But it was clearly a priority. Guessing after Smith declared, the brass caved on whatever else Bo was asking for. Someone is needed asap to get things stabilized there

The way I read it, he was talking about Raymond not being imminent and DL coach was a priority

Let's be honest. If Jimmy had said it would happen soon he would have been bombarded with questions that he may or may not have wanted to answer. It kind of looks like chicken is pointing out the one small part of what Jimmy said that could be wrong to distract from how accurate he actually was. I just don't see Jimmy showing up randomly after all this time and saying what he said only for us to hire a coach at the exact position he said when every other person who claimed to have a source said Raymond would be the next hire. It wasn't an accident. It wasn't a coincidence. Jimmy knew what he was doing. And I'm willing to bet a substantial amount of money he knew who it would be and that it would happen very soon.
