Is he currently the best coach in CFB? He's only 49 years old. Not old men.
After inheriting a team that went 4-8 in 2021, DeBoer has gone 25-2 in his two seasons with the Huskies.
3× AFCA NAIA Coach of the Year (2006, 2008, 2009)

2× Pac-12 Coach of the Year (2022, 2023)
2× AP Pac-12 Coach of the Year (2022, 2023)
Championships
3 NAIA (2006, 2008, 2009)

Let’s see him do it for 15+ years.

The Athletic had an article on him today that made me think he is super legit. My type of HC. Calm, analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and an elite schemer/thinker.
Basically he's a better and less douchey version of Lincoln Riley. He needs to develop the Riley mega-QB transfer policy to keep it rolling I imagine.

He's also 10-0 against ranked teams at Washington.
I don't know if he'd be a good fit in the SEC though especially after how other PNW coaches like McElwain and Harsin flamed out.

Good coach. He’s benefiting from having a roster with a lot of 5th & 6th year players.

Kirby/Saban/Harbaugh.
This place sometimes.....

chargers should offer him the job if they can't get Harbaw for any reason.

He has dominated his peers at every level of football. He has only been a P5 head coach for 2 years and has continued to dominate his peers. I don’t know about right now but the potential is certainly there.

Everyone is saying Kalen Deboer is a lock for Alabama.

No. Kirby Smart is the best coach in cfb now that Saban is gone.
DaBoer has been impressive and a is a very good coach, but Kirby is 42-2 in the past three years playing in the SEC and won two titles. Nobody is better than that right now.

I think if you go for the “pound for pound” argument, he is certainly in the conversation. When framed that way, I’d also throw Lance Leipold and Chris Kleiman in as well since I believe both could crush it at schools with more resources, but they are probably pretty comfortable and contempt with not being in a pressure cooker job

As a Bama fan, I say DeBoer is #1.

3 championships and lost in championship game twice in 9 years of head coaching. Thats pretty solid. i was hoping Bama would screw this up but i think they got it right.
