Want a small one with WiFi controls. Traeger is high as hell. Is Cabela’s or Camp Chef comparable? Is a 24” big enough for a whole brisket?

RECTEQ 380 allows you to smoke and grill. Mine has been great and great customer service.

I really like my Camp Chef. Mine doesn't have the wifi connection, though.

I've done plenty of good sized briskets on my 24"

Camp chef here as well. Don't have wifi but it’s reliable and good consistent temp control. Had mine 5 years and no issues.

I have a Camp Chef as well, without WiFi. I use it a lot and would buy another if it ever stopped working.

RECTEQ

Since you’re looking for wifi and cheaper than Traeger, this is lowest cost Recteq with WiFi

I’ve had a ReqTeq 700 for about 6 years now. It’s done fine as a smoker. It does have a hard time getting up to 500+. So not too great as a grill. The app sucks and the temp probes are garbage.

It’s really showing its age now. Lots of rust and the legs are going to break any time.

Looked at buying another to replace it. Checked them out at our local dealer. Feel like the quality has gotten worse since I got mine. Seems really cheaply made by comparison.

Not sure how I feel about splashing the cash for a Yoder or Pitts & Spitts.

I bought the Nexgrill from HD. It goes on sale quite often and does everything I need it to.

I was dead set on a Pitts and Spitts, but they were on a long wait so I bought a rectec......I had joined a chat page for Pitts and Spitts and it seems the owners of those have a whole lot more issues than I have had. I only had one issue where it needed ash cleaned out.

I dont really like to grill on it, but it is awesome as a smoker or such. Heck, I used it to keep side dishes warm and it does great at that too.

Here's a secret most of the fancy smoker companies don't want you to know. The internal components are all the same is lots of them are interchangeable. Of course some have more features than others but the only real difference between most of them is the size/shape of the drum and the name stamped on the lid.

Made the move to pellet Labor Day sale last year and bought the PitBoss Pro 850 at Lowes that lets me smoke and grill, have been very pleased with everything I've made on it.

I was overwhelmed by the choices so I just went with the tried and true Traeger.

I found a good deal on a scratch and dent Pit Boss that smokes, grills, and sears. I absolutely love it.

You get what you pay for. I have a Traeger and it is great, holds temperature extremely well. BIL has a RecTech and temps swing a lot.

I have a Traeger Junior and a SmokinBrother PP36 pellet smokers. I just gave my niece my GMG Daniel Boone. All of these are great smokers and had wifi. In my 10 years of smoking I never had a need to use the wifi. I rather sit out there and drink a few colds ones while the smoker is working. IMHO I would stay away from PitBoss.
