I've had one a year and a half. I don't let her inside with my dogs. I keep a window down so she can sleep in the car when it's cold.

My 2 cats come inside every now and again yo nap and get attention. But they love being outside.

If you have a dog, it will potty train the kittens (the kittens watch the dog go outside and not in the house). Neither of the 2 cats will go in the house and we have no litter boxes.

I find them sleeping everywhere outside. On the 4 wheeler seat, inside the boat, in the shop, out in the woods.

One of our cats jumped in a stranger’s car who’d left his windows down, and was taking a nap inside when I happened to walk by. I sometimes wonder where she would have ended up if neither of us had seen her.

One of my cats got in the 5th wheel while we were loafing it to go to the lake. We leveled the 5th wheel, opened the door and she ran out. Got thoroughly disoriented then ran to me.

I live on a dead end street. people dump cats, and crappy renters down the road just let them go when they leave.

My herd runs up and down between 4-9 cats thruout the year.
(Unfixed males tend to leave at 1-2 years old)

I deal with the females, but leave the males unfixed.

It is a sad state of affairs when a stray comes up, and it is obvious it was a house cat once. people suck

New to home ownership?

I wouldn't do anything to a cat, but many people will. (I've had it happen to my own as a teen.) People don't take kindly to their kids stepping in cat shite while playing outside, cats stepping and sleeping all over their cars and property, nor do pregnant neighborhood moms discovering cat shite while tending their flower gardens. Outside cats also indiscriminately kill area wildlife. In the least, your neighbors will resent you--whether publicly or privately.

Just been my experience over many years.

No, I'm homeless.

Even my homeless buddies don't kill stray cats

Poison it. Then hang it from a tree in the lawn so the other cats get the message that your home is not their home.

I kind of liked the Stray Cats back in the early 80's. Brought back a new wave of rockabilly. Rock This Town, Stray Cat Strut, and Sexy +17 were all Top 10 hits in 1983.

shite.

Never looked. Just fed her and hung out with her for a minute. Forgot about that.

To answer others question to age. Not sure. She looks rough but is small. Very thin and been in a scrap or two. Like she’s been a stray for a bit. So she looked older. But when you pet her she is too perky and moves like a younger cat. But she is not climbing all over shite like a young cat. Not finding her on a shelf or my beer fridge.

We’ve checked missing cats on platforms. Also put her on our neighborhood nosey neighbor type sites. Nothing.

Yep. We pick it up at night and if we leave.

I acquired a cat that way. Followed me home from a walk and never left. After a few weeks i started putting food outside. I had fewer bugs around and i would observe her eating bugs from time to time. I took her to the vet to have her fixed and they said she already was. She was a good cat.

That’s this one. She’s been around people. Wants to be petted. Let’s you pick her up (not for long) and lets me scratch her belly (was checking for a pregnant belly).
