Suburban problems.

Someone dumped a cat around us or a stray found her way into our garage. Found her way through an old hole left from a dust collection system the previous owner had.

Thought that it was just cold. She would wander around. But now she stays put. She’s clean. Not one piss or poo in the garage. So she’s going outside to do that.

My understanding is cats (please correct me if wrong) only would act this way to have kittens or crawl away to die. It’s been 3 weeks. Still there. No kittens, no fat belly, no dead cat. And if you were wondering no balls either so it’s not a male.

I have no problems having a shop cat. My grandpaw always had one or two in the country. But they were wild. And their for mice control. He could occasionally “tame” one enough to pet it for a second. This cat I have is tame. Took about 3 days to pet and pick her up.

What will I have?

A. Kittens

B. Dead cat.

C. Pet Cemetery cat.

It sounds like you have a cat that craps outdoors

Check Craigslist and Next door to see if anyone is missing her. Take her to a vet to see if she's chipped. If you can't find owners, congratulations on your new kitty cat.

Does it look very old? Cats that leave to die look the part generally.

Someone could have just dropped them off. Over the years, I became known as the neighbor that would feed the stray cat in the neighborhood. Well someone dropped off a cat on my doorstep knowing I would feed her. She eventually made her way inside during a snow storm. She's currently in my bed and runs the damn house.

Is her ear clipped? Would show that she's fixed

Not your problem.
Give the cat to a Chinese restaurant.

That "outside" cat won't last long in your burb once it starts shitting in your neighbors' yards and flowerbeds.

Have you fed it? If so, it's your issue now.

If not, don't.....Unless you just want a cat. I have no problem with outdoor cats until they start pissing and crapping in my stuff.

If it's cold and there is an opening big enough for a cat, you will likely have mice and rats. Might be good to let her hang around.

If that's the route you take I'd definitely get it fixed.

Also, once you start feeding it, expect other cats to wander in as well.

Kittens carry fungus on the reg and strays are notorious for having fleas. Other than that enjoy your new pet.

D. A shop cat.

Simple as that. Cat likes your place and goes outside to do her business. Feed her and be done with it. Don't leave food out, though, then you'll have more cats.

Get some Advantage or something like that for flea control, make sure she's fixed and enjoy your new pet.

It is simpler to spend the 50 bucks and get the cat fixed than it is to deal with possible kittens.

Sounds like a normal cat to me.
You will have kittens if you don't get her neutered.
Please go get her fixed and enjoy your new companion.

How about posting a pic?

I took in a stray from the shelter.

She stays outside. I've noticed an improvement with rodent reduction.

The food is cheap compared to what my two dogs go through.
