Any suggestions for go-to gun cleaning kits for .22 rifles? I have a gun cleaning kit that works well for a variety of rifles/shotguns, but I need something smaller to clean the barrel on my .22 rifle.

Just order a one-piece caliber specific Tipton cleaning rod from Amazon.

You can clean the barrell but run many shots thru it when finished. Fresh cleaned barrell will sling shots till barrell gets dirty. I never clean inside barrell

What do you mean by a clean barrel slings shots through it?

He is saying that a perfectly clean 22 rimfire barrel may have flyers or not group well until it fouls in again.

I don't clean the entire barrel on my 22. I clean the chamber area so I don't have a carbon ring build up but other than that I just pull a rip cord through the barrel.
