Have a friend who just took a job there. Had no idea what it was. Was curious if those of you in the south think it will be super successful throughout the south when they start to expand that way over the next decade. Their biggest store is in Dallas.

Here is a YouTube link to a tour.

Their team section is really impressive. Also have legit memorabilia available. Also, I liked their aquarium near checkout. That’s my contribution.

I’ve driven by several times but never stopped.

Something about buying hunting stuff at a mega store rubs me wrong.

I bet I haven’t spent $400.00 in Bass Pro in my life

I like the one north of Dallas. They are supposed to build one around Tulsa. Not commies like dicks owners.

Scheels is an awesome store. Have loved having one nearby us. We go quite often just to walk around and ride the Ferris wheel, our kid loves Scheels trips. Their selection in every single category of outdoor activity imaginable is great. Customer service is top tier.

It’s the best outdoor/sporting goods store in my opinion. Blows Academy and Dicks out of the water.

Scheels is all good with me. I got a bait box there for like 50% off what everywhere else was selling it for.

I've only ordered from them online. Never been to a store.

Fine by me if they move here.

family run, employee owned, pro 2A and unapologetic about having Christian beliefs. the exact opposite of Dick’s

they invest in their employees so whoever you are talking to is actually knowledge about their department

their store architecture is subtly cool, too. you can check them out on google street view

Scheels works EXTREMELY hard at maintaining their culture. If they continue to do so (and I strongly think they will) they will be very successful.

I am biased since I’ve been a Scheels customer since 1980 or so but they have the most knowledgeable staff in the industry. The training they go through on their products is top notch. Every Scheels salesperson knows their shite.

Like I said I’m biased and my son is on the Dallas store management team, but they are doing just fine in the south.

Dallas is their largest store and most months leads the company in sales.

It’s so much more than just a larger Dick’s.

They have one in Billings, MT where my daughter lives. She claims it’s way better than any sporting good stores we have down here. I’ll have to check it out next time I visit.

They’re employee owned and faith based. I order from them often.

In a world that turns away from God everyday, it's a company with strong Christian values.

Happy Thanksgiving from Scheels. (See 15 seconds in)

I think that place is amazing. Always hit it up on the pheasant hunts we go on to South Dakota.

Scheels in The Colony is insane. It’s the size of a mall for outdoors stuff.
