Remember this when watching: the cops have NO duty to protect YOU. The courts have already spoken on this and most cops/agencies have taken this to heart.

I went through La POST basic 25 years ago and the two phrases I remember stated over and over: “the goal is to go home at the end of your shift” and “better to be judged by 12 than carried by six.”

Faith in the “thin blue line” to save you is faith misplaced.

Just remember that every documentary is told with the breath of one mouth.

We watched it unfold in real time. We watched a cop use hand sanitizer while children were bleeding out.

The Supreme Court of the United States has already ruled that law enforcement officers have zero requirement to help anyone.

Period.

There is zero requirement for them to help any person, no matter the situation.

An officer can watch someone attack you, not intervene, and face no legal consequences.

And yet, our ability to lawfully defend ourselves is constantly under attack.

You do, in fact, clear buildings. So yeah, you check every room.

Not one of them should ever live a day in the rest of their lives without being ridiculed. I don't care what a court says or what a job requires, that many men standing around while children are being killed and not one felt the surge of humanity inside their souls to go help? fricking cowards and should be reminded daily. Only other explanation is they were mercenaries with no humanity left. You could literally gather the same amount of people off the street and they'd do more than those cops did. Even unarmed. Hope they all rot in whatever hell exists.

Which is why the second amendment is a worthy hill to die on. No one is coming to save you. Become proficient with your weapon and let the chips fall where they may.

I would add that I like to listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. So many involve incompetent small town police forces that don’t know how to investigate a murder case. Not surprising the Uvalde police did this. It’s typical.

Yes-you do. You go to where the shooting is/was and you clear rooms and confront the shooter-which they started to do, got shot at, fell back, then cowered and let the killing continue like cowards.

Everyone, especially parents with kids in school, should watch it.

I'm curious to know if that'd be the case with a school police dept. Seems like that would be a requirement, to protect those kids.
Federal court has ruled that children are not in the school’s “custody” during the school day, so, combined with the ruling I referenced above, that isn’t likely.

I'm still convinced that local and federal authorities WANTED more kids killed. Nothing will every convince me otherwise. Our leaders are pure evil. Period.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by neglect, ignorance or incompetence.

You're giving those police too much intellectual credit. They're cowards. Nothing more.

Yes, nerves of steel and some massive freakin stones on those guys.

Check out the bodycam footage from the Allen mall tragedy too. Basically one guy who in the span of five minutes goes from teaching kids about wearing their seat belts to taking out the perp. In between all that you see how the training pays off. He alerts every civilian he sees to get out of the area; he loads up the tach gear and runs across the plaza like a motherfricker; slows down to try to audibly pinpoint the gunshots; repeatedly updates and calls for backup; and then perhaps most impressively, after all that, he nails an armed, moving target from an upright stance 100+ feet away.

Just an incredible response. I don't believe they've ever released the guy's identity, but they really should. He's a hero in the purest sense of the word.

If they're not going to do what most assume our tax $$ pay them to do, I might have to rethink my opinion on defending LE.

I'm not concerned about protecting me. I've never needed LE & don't see where I ever will, at this point, but those poor kids...
