That is the problem with young players now. They think bowl games are meaningless like you do. Stop posting ignorance.

True - based on bowl results, we used to be able to debate and defend almost anything.

I notice a lot of downvotes on people saying they'd rather see Daniels start.

Again, I'm an LSU fan, and not somebody's relative or financial advisor. The OP is asking if we'd rather see the likely Heisman Trophy winner, or his backup. I want to see Daniels once more. And if he plays, I won't be trembling in fear that he may get his knee blown out like some folks apparently are.

I want to see one more offensive explosion this season. I don't care if it's not in the playoffs.

Why risk in a meaningless game

FFS. It’s in living memory when getting a bid to the Outback bowl, while not at NY6, made fanbases still feel good about themselves

frick this attitude that if you don’t get a title, nothing matters.

frick it all then. LSU should just forfeit and refuse to play in any non playoff game then if that’s the attitude.

You’d sit the best player in the country so his POSSIBLE successor can get reps in a game at the end of the season?
Insanity.

Nuss! I’m there is absolutely nothing else to gain from Jayden player in that game other than possible injury. He needs to be smart and make his money before putting himself at serious risk again. The bowl game should be inherented to Nuss. He needs to take over this year going into the off season. Now if we’re in the playoffs is a different situation.. my opinion would be drastically different just a few shorts years ago when nil wasn’t a thing

That's a tough question, we want to win, JD gives us the best chance. But we need to see how much progress Nuss has made.
Which could backfire as far as the transfer portal is concerned. Nuss shines and the portal darkens.

DANIELS! Because I want us to have the best chance to win! That’s what it’s about. Those who say it doesn’t matter will be the same ones melting because we lost to an unranked wiscy and will have that bitter taste and humiliation to deal with for the whole offseason. Can you imagine the fallout? ‘BK regressed his second season’ ‘Yeah but they lost to 7-5 big ten team’ ‘JD5 wins the Heisman and the team can’t even win 10 games’. Winning this game is VERY important because losing it would be VERY bad.

Please god make it stop. You’d rather a back up play over the heisman trophy winner

No, it wouldn't. Literally nobody would be saying any of these things. Besides the fact Wisconsin has like half their team transferring or opting out. If we need every starter to beat them we deserve to lose.

So if Nuss plays well it's a bad thing because you can't get a transfer? Wow.

Let Daniels start and get to 5000yds, Let Nabers break the record, then pull them and hand it over to the younger guys.

I want to see the best player in college football start, if JD is willing to give it a go. Let Nuss come in for mop up duty. Strategically, it would be nice to NOT give USC too much film on Nuss headed into the big matchup next year given that he is our potential starting QB next year.

Doesn't matter who starts. A bowl game means nothing except additional revenue. No one will remember who starts or doesn't.

IF Daniels wants to play then you start and play Daniels. Its very likely if Daniels chooses to play Nuss will still get a lot of playing time like he did in the bowl game last year but the choice lies with Daniels. You do not tell Daniels to sit if he wants to play. He has earned that right.

Good lord

Listen, we need to win the game plain and simple

10 wins back to back seasons in BKs first two years has a nice ring to it when it comes to recruiting

Daniels needs to play
