How is Bagram even strategic. It’s more of a nightmare to stay occupied in Afghanistan. Not to mention you’d have to negotiate a deal with the Taliban or outright re-invade the country.

Wait so he doesn’t mean what he says? So does he not plan on getting Bagram back? What would it entail? Considering this means potentially re-invading Afghanistan this is a pretty big thing to just be using literary devices for.
