Nuss got to learn under a well developed JD. Should be a great offseason for him and his growth.

Does it really matter what type of arm a QB has if he has a touchdown to interception ratio of like 1:1 ???

This thread is silly, here’s why..
Those that were calling for patience with Jayden will have patience with Nuss. They’re not the ones you need to convince.
It’s going to be those that were calling for Nuss the quickest that will call for him to be replaced.

My deal with JD is, you can obviously tell he worked his arse off in the off season.
I hope Nuss was paying close attention.
Plus, the offense just wont be as easy without JDs ability to scramble. Obviously. Our RB running game will have to be better and more dynamic to get defenses to loosen up
Eta - having one of the best Olines in LSU history should help Nuss a lot lol

I hope LSU fans will give Nuss the same opportunity if he is the starter next year. There will be some learning curve as a starter but he will have a great OLine and offensive weapons around him. It may look different but I think he’ll be another great QB by end of his career here. .
The Dalton & James Gang 2.0 will fully emerge; the Offense will still flourish and score points, but it will look different.
WR's, TE's and RB's will be more involved in the passing as the Nuss Bus will get them the ball more in lieu of taking off running......

anyone seen the poster SMD recently?
I wondered the same thing yesterday. I'm sure he's very bummed about all this.

Especially if we retain both Denbrock and Sloan
Nuss will be well prepared to step up next year
But can we finish enjoying this year first? We're witnessing one of the greatest QB seasons in all of NCAA history.

JD made this thing go. We have a stable full of studs ready to tote tote the rock and an OL capable of being elite. Nuss has to be an effective passer so that we should be able to play a more traditional style of offense.
JD's performance was outstanding this season, we will need patience next year as putting up 40+ wont be automatic

Spot on, couldn’t have said it better myself

I think he will get every opportunity to show us what he can do, the rest will be up to him.

Traditional fans yes he’ll have our support. Modern fans are a complete roller coaster of emotions, but have already made up their minds. It will take him throwing for 500 yards to not change their minds, but give him props for that game. Then they’ll say things like….. well I guess he’s pretty good.

Which says the coaches believe he can be next. Still on him to put the work in which he has shown the drive to do.

Jayden Daniels didn’t even really takeoff until the 3rd game this year or something like that. He was not good in the Fla st game and all of a sudden it just clicked for him. I am thinking the same thing with Nuss we all seen the arm talent that he has and he’s a playmaker and will make some mistakes with his aggressive play style. As long as he learns from his mistakes I don’t worry one bit the offense will still be lethal with the RB running the ball like they should.

I expect it to resemble UGA’s offense.

It’s not even a foregone conclusion that he starts next season

O/u threads saying “start Underwood” next year even though he’ll still be in high school? I’ll set it at 6.5.

JD might have had “areas for improvement” last year but he was still pretty damn good. Those calling for Nuss to replace him then were foolish. If Nuss can match 2022 Daniels he’ll be doing great.
