Alabama committed a horse collar offense on Jayden Daniels during the first half. The officials never threw a flag. Later in the game, LSU was penalized for a horse collar offense. LSU did indeed commit the horse collar offense. Why was Alabama not penalized for the same offense? Corruption, I presume?
It’s time for referees to have some accountability. They need to answer to someone.

They should have been both called. Perkins did have his hand inside the collar. I know he didn’t pull him back but you can’t have your hand in the collar. Bang bang call.

The first half miss was atrocious.

They need to, but they won't. They are corrupt. They stink.

And what’s the mechanism to hold them accountable?

CBK: “That was a terrible no call.”

Saban: “I think it was fine.”

SEC: “We’ve reviewed and feel no additional comment is necessary.”

There is your accountability.

The bama horse collar wasn’t as obvious, still should’ve been called. The only penalties that lsu fans should be complaining about are the 3 illegal snaps. Never seen that shite before and even when Turner managed to get the snap off properly a lot were shitty and negatively affected the play. It’s amazing what Jayden Daniels has managed to do with all of the incompetence surrounding him.

That is not why we lost the game. I'm not jumping on the ref-bandwagon.

LSU didn’t commit a horse collar tackle. The NCAA’s rulebook wording for a horse collar is pretty terrible while the NHFS and NFL rulebooks are both more thorough. In both of those rulebooks the horsecollar is essentially defined by grip to the side or back and that grip being used to “cause the ball carrier’s knees to buckle”(NFL) or “pulling backward or to the side”(NHFS). It was not a penalty in this case because Perkins Jr. brought down the ball carrier with a grip that was inside the front, it was this grip that caused the tackle and doesn’t meet the definition of horse collar. The NCAA actually does have a better explanation in one of their training videos, just not in their rulebook.

1. That was a very clear horse collar and no excuse that it wasn’t called

2. If I recall correctly, on the same play, another Bama defender dove head first at JD’s back with his head down (crown of helmet) and could/should have been called for targeting.

Yes, everyone saw that. Different rule standards and interpretations apply when you play Alabama.

The one on JD was on a play downfield where, at minimum, three officials would have been in place to see it. They didn't miss it at all. The Bama player pretty much spun him around by the horse collar.

What the corrupt officials were telling Bama was essentially "if you can catch him, you can hurt him. There will be no consequences (again)"

Since Bama clearly couldn't catch him, the only way to cheap shot him was in the pocket. So, that's what they did, and the SEC cheered.

The same reason Milroe could yank Burns round by the face mask after being run out of bounds.

What about Alabama Quarterback grabbing the facemask?
