Most of the ones that respond to her leaving are speaking in generalities about how celebs always make this generic threat and never move. They're not specifically calling out her reference to Jupiter, but speaking in general about empty celebrity threats.

Ah so the point is to post something fake so that then everyone can use it to jump on their political soap box and bitch about the world in general? Sooo confirmation bias basically?

They messed up when naming the planets. Jupiter is a gas giant, so it should have been named Uranus.

Once we change Jupiter to Uranus we'll need a new name for Uranus. Since it's an ice giant why don't we name it after some ice cold bitch. I'm sure someone's got an ex-wife they can nominate for the honor.

Now we have a Cher thread on the front page where she says she will move to the planet Jupiter if Trump wins, and the majority of responses seem to be daring her to do it/complaining that those people never follow through. How exactly does anyone believe she is serious about moving to Jupiter the planet? I can understand the responses if she said Canada or something. But she said Jupiter.

did YOU read the article? she said Jupiter in 2016 and now she is saying that she really WILL leave the country.

Which is why I was confused by the people saying "didn't she say this last time?"
As if they actually expected her to move to Jupiter. She didn't give a destination this time but it's obvious she isn't serious about it.

My topic is more about the Caleb Williams thing. The political stuff is more obvious.

you clearly are calling people out for thinking she said she is going to Jupiter if Trump wins this election. which is not what she said, which you would know if you had read the article and not just the headline and the brief clip that the OP of that thread copied.

Do better guy.

It’s not just Americans. I don’t think the average person in general reads even portions of articles anymore. It’s just headlines. People have become so used to getting everything quickly that it’s too much work. Basically most people don’t have patience anymore.

So many get their news from headlines or screen shots of headlines with some rando’s caption. That’s troubling

There are people that hang onto every word Whoopi Goldberg vomits. Let that sink in.

I just said that Cher needs to move to a place with less wind so her face straightens back out.

The fact that you missed the most blatant and important example of this topic over that past couple days may just say a little about you. The two examples you provided are inconsequential and don't amount to a damn thing. The one I'm referring to is dangerous and truly shows where our media and political response stands.

Study up before you type your next angry response post.

Ironically I read the article and not the headline of the Cher thing you're mentioning.

Wait, you believe that other people actually think she would move to Jupiter, and you are the one chastising them? Maybe you should be chastised for not understanding literary devices.

If they were using a literary device with these responses it must be one i'm not familiar with.

I call BS on this. I have lost count on how many times I have heard a Hollywood celebrity or famous musician say this exact same thing if many other certain politicians took office and none of them ever did once it became so.

also a bunch of people debating that she meant jupiter, florida right below where it said "leaving the US"

Because they have poor reading comprehension. Plus they see what they want to see and avoid all facts.

And they are breeding at a fearful rate.

Based on threads around here, something like 80% of the people who still put the time to chime in on it. So maybe even higher overall.
